From the stored position it can rotate 210 degrees From 30-90 degrees it is a load barrier for cargo in the truck bed At 180 degrees it extends the length of your truck bed almost two feet At 210 degrees it is ready for ramp loading using the “Ride Inside Ramps” that store inside the tailgate Four “hard points” – two on each side of the extension – are provided for easy strapping/tie down points The 27 “donut-holes” allow even more strapping capability The extension can handle 650 pounds “point loaded” on its outer edge ”What I am loading weighs more than that!” Yep – BUT there are very few things you will be loading in your truck that will concentrate more than 650 pounds on that one spot. When loading a 1000 pound ATV when the front wheels start up the extension, the back wheels are still on the ground. By the time the back wheels are on the extension the front wheels are already on the tailgate or in the bed. Does the extension rattle when my tailgate is closed? Nope. The BringIt™ Tailgate has been designed so the extension gets “pinched” between the tailgate and the truck bed. This keeps everything nice and snug.
